I participated in "Yokohama Flower Art Road" — an art project running along the pedestrian bridge that connects Yokohama Station's East Exit to Sogo Yokohama Store. Looking ahead to the International Horticultural Exposition GREEN×EXPO 2027, to be held in Yokohama in 2027, this project aims to gradually build excitement throughout the city in the lead-up to the event. Themed around "flowers," artworks by multiple artists line both sides of the bridge. I was in charge of the panels on either side as you climb the bridge from the East Exit. I hope these works become a small moment of pause in the flow of everyday life — a scene that makes you want to stop and look. The installation will be on display for approximately one year. After the exhibition period, plans are also being considered to upcycle parts of the materials, making this a sustainable project with an environmental conscience — one that continues to evolve in new forms. 横浜駅東口からそごう横浜店へと続く歩道橋を舞台に、「ヨコハマフラワーアートロード」に参画しました。2027年に横浜で開催予定の国際園芸博覧会「GREEN×EXPO 2027」に向け、街なかから少しずつ機運を高めていくこのプロジェクト。"花"をテーマに、複数のアーティストの作品が歩道橋の両サイドに並びます。私は、東口から歩道橋を登る際の両サイドを担当しました。日常の動線の中で、ふと足を止めたくなるような風景になっていたら嬉しいです。本装飾は約1年間掲出予定。会期後には装飾素材の一部をアップサイクルすることも検討しており、かたちを変えながら続いていく、環境にも配慮した持続可能なプロジェクトでもあります。横浜駅を訪れた際は、ぜひビットたちとあわせて立ち寄ってみてください。この歩道橋を渡った先の広場で、彼らが待っています。🚢⚓️🛟
