RUNS:INTO KK 2025

As a pre-event for the Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships, we held a running event called “RUNS:INTO KK,” with 2,200 participants. I was commissioned to create live paintings for the event, which took place on the Tokyo Expressway KK Line—a space that will later be transformed into a pedestrian-centered public area called the “Tokyo Sky Corridor.” Creating art on a highway is probably a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so it was an incredibly special location. I focused my work on themes of speed, excitement, encounters with the KK, and the future.
